My nephew loves diggers so when I watched a video about a project to make a wooden digger I knew this would make a great birthday gift for him. Watching him pretend to be a crane to put a nappy bag into the wheelie bin gave me the idea to elongate it add a crane to the rear. Working without a set of plans is not a new thing for me but this took a little more head scratching and pausing to think. The finished product with have wheels and cranks and levels to make the digger dig and the crane lift a load but it was a good start and a nice way to spend a sunny day after so much rain.
